Nico's tasting notes
In brief: sweet - vanilla - coffee - round
The nose initially evokes candy, something very sweet akin to grenadine syrup. The mood is one of confectionery and gourmandise. The whole gradually becomes creamier, with milk chocolate, then the vanilla explodes all at once. It comes in many guises: vanilla sugar, vanilla cream.... It's very gourmand. Over time, the sugar fades away in favor of the teasing vanilla.
On the palate, the same explosion of vanilla, a black vanilla with a full-bodied bean. The impression on the palate contrasts with that of the nose, as the candy aspect is forgotten. The vanilla is quite deep, supported by freshly ground coffee.
The finish returns to sweet gourmandise, reminiscent of sweet vanilla coffee.
"No deception on the merchandise, vanilla is indeed at the heart of this fragrant, gourmet rum..."
