Rhum & KO Piment intense is made with agricultural rum from Guadeloupe and Martinique.
Like the less spicy version, this rum is macerated with West Indian chili, but in larger quantities. There's also a vanilla bean, cinnamon and cane sugar.
It's a 100% natural product, with no other additives.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose sounds like a warning: if it rubs, it stings! The strong chili pepper aromas make you approach this rum with caution, not knowing what sauce it's going to eat you with. They are tempered by a veil of slightly vanilla sweetness, which nevertheless encourages you to give in to temptation and gluttony.
On the palate, the promise is kept: the chilli gradually and generously warms the tongue, but without completely taking it over - phew! Instead, it delivers its delicious flavors naturally, with a spicy but well-controlled feel.
"A spicy, intense rum that delivers on its promise without burning the palate..."
Romuald Dessart
Very good, very strong taste. The hot pepper awakens the palate without "ripping out the g****". This, of course, if you're a chilli lover. Perhaps to be avoided by those who don't like spicy stuff.
