Nico's tasting notes
The nose of this rum is simple and light. It has the impression of a syrup between grenadine and vanilla, with also a more tart candy side. The aromatic notes are rather delicate, with a floral aspect on one side and a light smokiness on the other.
Aeration brings the rum into balance. The sugar is now heated, almost cooked. The wood takes on smoky notes and a hint of copper. The nuts that enter the scene to finish are strong and imposing.
The palate is pleasantly balanced between vanilla, caramel and wood. The texture is both melting and consistent. It can also be slightly fizzy, but with large bubbles that burst slowly on the tongue. The rum is quite sweet, but also buttery, with coconut.
The finish reveals notes of lychee, almond and coconut.
