On the nose, the rum is highly aromatic and powerful, bringing both sweetness and the spices characteristic of oak. Wax, Earl Grey tea and dark chocolate also enrich the bouquet.
On the palate, Rum Nation 23 ans 1990 Jamaica Supreme Lord VII is very well balanced, between the sweetness of molasses and the power of bitter aromatic herbs, with also spicy notes of clove, cinnamon and black pepper.
The finish is equally sweet, but with a more marked dominance of licorice and gentian liqueur.
