Rum North Agricole Blanc is a rum bearing the IGP Madeira label. It is a column-distilled rum made from pure sugarcane juice. It is highly representative of its unique terroir, where cane has been cultivated since the 15th century.
Around Engenhos Do Norte (the great distillery in the north of the Portuguese island), the cane is pressed, fermented and distilled. The rum is then reduced to 40%. This degree is ideal for long drinks and poncha, Madeira's traditional beverage.
