Originating from Mauritius, SBS Mauritius 2009 is a molasses rum distilled in a column still at the Grays distillery in 2009 , then patiently aged for 17 years . Selected by the independent bottler 1423 World Class Spirits, this Single Cask edition showcases the expertise of the Mauritian distillery and the meticulous cask maturation process.
The rum was initially aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon casks , before continuing its development for 5 years in ex-port casks . This double maturation process, carried out in two stages, gives this edition its unique character.
Bottled in June 2026 at 46%, this edition is limited to only 226 bottles .
