Scapa Glansa is a single malt scotch whisky. Although based on the island of Orkney, the Scapa distillery is part of the Highlands production region. This corner of Scotland was influenced by the peoples of the north, including the Vikings, hence the name "Glansa", which means "sparkling stormy sky" in the Norse language.
This small, traditional distillery employs just 5 people. They usually age their whiskies in American oak casks. For this cuvée, however, the whisky is finished in peated whisky casks.
