Shakara 12 ans is a rum made in Thailand from local molasses. It is distilled in a column still and then aged entirely in Thailand's tropical climate.
This cuvée is aged for 12 years in oak barrels.
The name "Shakara" is a Sanskrit (Indo-European language) term referring to the South Asian origin of sugar cane.

A very good rum, but not long on the palate. It's a pity because the nose and the beginning are very good but the finish is disappointing. It's a shame.
