Springbank 10 Year Old Whisky is a peated single malt Scotch whisky from the Campbeltown distillery.
This is a bottling composed of 60% malt whiskies matured in ex-bourbon casks , and the remaining 40% in ex-sherry casks .
Jeremy's note
On the nose : the peat is relatively discreet, accompanied by malt and orchard fruits (apple, pear), with a slight hint of vanilla.
On the palate : the attack is relatively soft and dry, with a slightly vanilla and toasty woodiness, which releases the malt accompanied by a light peat and spices that coat the palate while tickling the tongue.
The finish : it is long, with woody and spicy notes, and the peat always in the background.
