Spytail is a spiced rum made from a blend of Caribbean rums (Guyana and Trinidad) imported to Cognac, France.
Finished in cognac casks and with the addition of natural aromas, the result is a gourmet delight.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is tangy, reminiscent of tuttifruti candies. We sail into a confectionery atmosphere, with strawberry and vanilla candies, and then a good handful of barbapapa. Vanilla and coconut then take control, as in a coconut rock.
On the palate, the caramel has a measured roundness, which quickly becomes perfumed with vanilla and coconut milk, with a pastry-like sweetness. The candy spirit is still present, and we imagine a bag of candy from our childhood.
