Takamaka Grankaz is a blend of pure cane juice and molasses rums. Originating on the island of Mahé in the Seychelles, this rum is produced by the Trois Frères distillery on the Plaine Saint-André estate.
Pure cane juice rum is distilled in an iron still, then aged in new French oak barrels at medium toast. It is then blended with 3-year-old molasses rum aged in ex-bourbon oak barrels and 8-year-old Bajan Foursquare molasses rum. Once reduced, the rum is bottled without sugar or coloring, and lightly filtered to preserve maximum aroma.
