This 50° white agricultural rum is a great classic of Martinique rums.
Like all Plantations Trois Rivières rums, it is distilled at the La Mauny distillery to AOC Martinique specifications.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is divided between ripe, sweet, soft cane and a drier, vegetal, slightly iodized character. A handful of fruits decorated with citrus zest splash a few colorful drops.
Aeration introduces sweet and sour, finely vinegary and fruity notes, with slightly resinous and iodized vegetal hints.
The palate is balanced and completely in line with the nose, with rather powerful iodized notes which go well with an equally powerful and almost resinous plant. The ripe and delicious cane comes second, and fills the palate with sweet and gently peppery notes.
The finish is sweet and even oily, and the vegetal flavors linger for a long time in the mouth.
