Trois Rivières Origines 55°: Description and customer reviews

Trois Rivières Origines is a white agricultural rum distilled at Plantations Trois Rivières in Martinique.

This cuvée 55 Origines was already an essential reference, but it has been redesigned to integrate the "Les éditions du Bar" range.
Work on the reduction now takes place over several months, 5 to be exact. The drip technique is used to avoid creating thermal reactions and destructuring the distillate.

Dedicated to the world of mixology, you can enhance your cocktails and long drinks with this rhum agricole. As a punch, it goes perfectly with mango and pineapple, for example.

Nico's tasting notes

The nose opens with the juice of beautifully candied, flowery and fruity cane. Hints of sweet citrus gradually concentrate around the oily rind. A slight herbal freshness of cut grass and menthol completes the picture.

With aeration, the herbaceousness and citrus harmonize to become one, giving birth to a refreshing lemongrass, tinged with lemon balm. A few notes of black and red berries then herald a deeper phase, touching on the acidity of vesuvius fermentation.

On the palate, the rum is powerful but perfectly controlled, with an explosion of fresh cane and hints of gray pepper. It's a rum that could be described as dazzling, and which expresses itself with beautiful sparks, like so many brightenings on a field of cane drenched by a tropical downpour.

The finish is soft and earthy, with bagasse and some citrus peel.

"An effective, sunny rum, very faithful to the Martinique style..."

If you like it, we recommend :

  • A Martinique rum to discover...
