Tsukinokatsura Nigori Junmai is "cloudy sake", hence the use of the word Nigori in its name.
Tsukinokatsura, founded in 1675 in Fushimi, is the oldest sake house in the region. It has remained in the Masuda family for 14 generations, over 340 years.
In 1964, the 13th generation of the family reinvented a "new" kind of sake, inspired by what was done in the past. It's a cloudy, very coarsely filtered, milky sake called nigori.
