Velier RASC 1954 Jamaican Rum is a traditional molasses rum from Jamaica , sourced from historical stocks associated with the British Royal Navy. This exceptional vintage is part of a project by Velier, in collaboration with La Maison du Whisky, to promote rare spirits.
Its history dates back to 1954 , the year the rum that makes up these historical reserves was distilled. The tradition of a daily rum ration within the Royal Navy ended in 1970. The remaining reserves were then transferred to stoneware bottles protected by wicker sleeves, reflecting the packaging methods of the time. Their preservation has thus allowed for the safeguarding of a unique piece of British naval history.
This third edition, named Batch 3, continues the work of selecting and showcasing these historical stocks. It consists of a blend of 14 carefully preserved bottles .
Produced in only 85 copies , this limited edition is a rare reference, intended for lovers of old rums and collectors of historical spirits.
