Blanton's

Blanton's is a brand ofAmerican whiskey from the Buffalo Trace distillery.

Its origins go back to Colonel Albert Bacon Blanton, born in 1881 right next door to the distillery. He began working there at the age of 16. Then, in 1921, he ran the entire operation. He retired in 1953.

Later, it was Elmer T. Lee who brought about a revolution in the world of bourbon. In 1984, a year before his retirement, this master distiller launched the first single barrel bourbon. This edition also marked the birth of the premium bourbon category.

Today, this heritage continues with Blanton's Reserve, Blanton's Original Single Barrel, Blanton's Gold Edition and Blanton's Straight From The Barrel.

What's more, Blanton's look is inimitable. For example, the corks on our Single Barrel Bourbons pay homage to Kentucky: one of the state's emblems is the horse, accompanied here by a jockey.
There are eight of them. Each represents a different pose and is marked with a letter. Once the corks are grouped together, the full horse race and the name "Blanton's" appear. Read less
