Dupont

Domaine Famille Dupont is located in the heart of the Pays d'Auge in Normandy. The orchards cover 30 hectares with 6,000 apple trees and 13 varieties of apples. They produce cider, pommeau and calvados.

The apples are sorted by hand, and the expertise of an oenologist is called in for the cider as well.

In fact, the techniques used are inspired by cognac and wine: vintage ciders, cider aging in oak barrels, use of methods reserved for sparkling wines, "brut de fût" calvados and finishing in whisky or Caroni barrels (the latter particularly interested us, of course)... Read more
