Eagle Rare

Eagle Rare is a brand produced by the Buffalo Trace distillery. It was originally created by Seagram, a Canadian group, in 1975 under the leadership of master distiller Charles L. Beam. It was then produced by various American distilleries.

Later, in 1989, Sezerac acquired the brand. For a long time, until 2005, Eagle Rare remained a blend of different casks. However, with the discontinuation of the historic 10-Year-Old 101 Proof, Eagle Rare switched to single barrel.

Since then, Eagle Rare has set up shop in Europe, offering a 10-year-old, some exclusive versions such as the casks selected by La Maison du Whisky, and a 17-year-old in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection series. Read less
