Engenho Da Vertente is a small craft distillery in a town of 6,000 inhabitants. The town, named Santo Antonio Do Jardim, is located 217 km from São Paulo, on the border with Minas Gerais.

The cane grown on the estate is distilled by Renato in a small, traditional copper still. Aging takes place in jequitiba rosa casks, a wood from Brazil's tallest tree.

The quantities produced are small (10,000 liters per year).
