The history of Gun's Bell rum

Gun's Bell is a Franco-Caribbean creation. Hedonist has been based in Bordeaux since 2011, with its cellars in Cognac. It is notably behind Hee Joy rums and a Cognac-based liqueur. The company is also responsible for this blend of rums from the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Barbados and Trinidad.

The idea behind this spiced rum is above all a nod to underground culture. The creativity that inhabits this world is bottled here, with all the vivacity and desire to share that characterizes it.

Gun's Bell rum

Gun's Bell rum is blended in the Chevanceaux cellars in the Cognac region. A special method was used, which took almost 3 years to develop.
A large tea bag is filled with crushed cognac barrel shavings, cinnamon, cocoa and coconut. After infusion into the rum blend, a spiced rum is obtained, which then rests for 2 weeks. During this time, the rum is gradually sweetened to 10 grams per bottle.

The spiced rum then spends 4 to 6 months in highly toasted new oak barrels, acquiring toasty, smoky notes.

Gun's Bell won gold at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, and silver at the Bordeaux Inside Spirit Competition. Read less
