Canerock

Canerock is a brand launched by Maison Ferrand , headed by Alexandre Gabriel , already renowned for its iconic creations such as Plantation, Ferrand, and Citadelle. With Canerock, the house is entering the spiced sipping rum segment, offering a premium approach true to its philosophy of excellence.

Rather than integrating this blend into the Plantation range, Maison Ferrand chose to create a distinct universe. Canerock is not a classic spiced rum intended for blending, but a spiced rum crafted from a solid base of Jamaican rums from the Clarendon Distillery and Long Pond Distillery . Distilled in pot stills and column stills , then aged for several years (up to 10 years for some batches), these rums offer a rich and typically Jamaican structure, marked by esterified and "funky" notes .

To this already complex base are added three infusions of natural spices, prepared separately: Madagascar vanilla , the true aromatic backbone; Jamaican ginger , which brings freshness and vibrancy; and Caribbean coconut , for texture and roundness. Part of the blend then benefits from aging in ex-Pedro Ximénez casks, imparting depth, sweetness, and nuances of honey, raisins, and rancio.

Bottled at 40% ABV, Canerock stands out for its balance: generously vanilla-flavored, delicately spiced without being harsh, supported by the richness of Jamaican rum. Designed as a sipping rum, it can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in sophisticated cocktails. Read less
