Virgin Gorda rum

Virgin Gorda rum was created by the Poshmakers, London-based gin distillers who borrowed the name from an island in the British Virgin Islands (Christopher Columbus delicately named it after his belief that it resembled "a plump virgin").

This is a blend of traditional English molasses rums, distilled in repasse stills and continuous columns, from Trinidad, Barbados and Jamaica. With an average age of 7 years, the rums making up the blend have all been aged in ex-Bourbon casks made of American white oak.

This " Caribbean blend " is a classic of its kind, with a fine balance between the different styles that make up the blend. Read less
