Widow Jane

Widow Jane is a distillery born in Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York, in 2014.

It was founded by Daniel Preston.

Since 2017, after some initial mistakes and a buyout by the Samson & Surrey group, not a week goes by without distillation in the Carl still (only the smallest of the 2 columns is used). The best ingredients, guaranteed GMO-free, are used, including the distillery's own popres corn varieties such as Baby Jane.

While waiting for their first whiskeys to mature, the team blends and bottles Straight Bourbon and Rye Whisky, without chill filtration. Read less
