This shochu comes from the Ohishi distillery, the largest of the small distilleries. Its annual production capacity is around 250,000 liters of shochu.
Ohishi broke new ground in the early 1970s when it began maturing its shochu in oak barrels.
3S Tokubetsu Gentei is a cuvée of junmai shochu, i.e. 100% rice. It is a blend of shochu aged in sherry casks and shochu aged in brandy casks.
