Nico's tasting notes
The nose may surprise connoisseurs of the brand, since it opens with a freshness of red fruits that is quite original. We can also guess some stones that bring elegance and personality, then we find the usual markers of the house that are orange, butter biscuit and sweet spices.
With a little aeration, a certain lightness and freshness continue to reign over the glass. Where AH Riise rums usually offer an autumnal, even wintery profile, this cuvée has the lightness of spring.
The mouth is round but again probably quite different and especially less sweet than what the brand usually presents. The notes of orange peel then enjoy themselves wonderfully, and are expressed in freshness and light. The more pastry and spicy flavors are there but a little more withdrawn, they ensure the delicacy without excess.
The finish is rather soft and sweet, and we find a “Christmas market” profile, spicy and comforting.
