White agricultural rum from Guadeloupe, strawberries, Thai basil leaves, bird's eye chilli, spices and cane sugar: these are the ingredients of this Strawberry-Thai Basil arranged rum.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is greedy, with a very ripe, round and almost creamy strawberry. It mingles with the rum in a rather sensual way, and the cane soon marries a velvety basil leaf. The agricultural rum brings exoticism to the strawberry, it then comes close to passion fruit or pineapple.
The attack in the mouth is round and fruity, but beware! A peppery and spicy wave invades the palate and warms it ardently. The agricultural rum adds to this with the pepper of its bark and bagasse. A little bitterness of lime peel remains on the palate.
"Quite a contrast between the greediness of the strawberry and the warmth of the pepper in the mouth..."
