Auténtico Nativo Salvaje is a molasses rum originating from Panama and produced by the Las Cabras distillery.
The molasses comes from sugar canes grown and harvested by hand on the volcanic soil of the Herrera region of Panama.
Once the molasses is produced, a 3-day fermentation phase follows. Next comes distillation in a continuous distillation column made of brass and copper.
For this vintage, Eduardo Perez, the master blender, wanted aging in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. The rums in this blend are between 6 and 10 years old.
