Bacoo 11 Year Old Rum is distilled from pure sugarcane juice. Its name comes from an ancient legend. Bacoo (pronounced “BAH-KU”) is said to be a mischievous mythological spirit that grants your wishes if you find it. According to legend, it hides in empty rum bottles floating in the Caribbean Sea.
The production of this rum is ensured by the company Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos located in the Dominican Republic. The entire process, from the harvest of the cane to the aging of the rum, is done on site with the expertise of this distillery.
For the aging, the cellar master relied on a selection of ex-bourbon American oak barrels. The rum was aged for at least 11 years.
