Bally 2002 is a vintage agricultural rum born in the volcanic soil of Saint-Pierre, on the Cabret estate. This AOC rum, distilled from pure cane juice, benefited from an exceptional harvest. After more than six years of maturation in oak barrels, Bally 2002 has softened and enriched with a beautiful aromatic palette.
Bally 2002 won a gold medal at the 2013 Rhum Fair.
Tasting notes
Bally 2002 has an amber, almost coppery color.
The nose expresses itself discreetly through woody notes that give way to vanilla as they develop.
On the palate, Bally 2002 offers a round attack before gaining strength to fill the palate with spicy, woody notes. As the tasting progresses, the rum changes from a dry tone to a more fruity, vanilla character.

This Bally 2002 will leave no one indifferent. A Rhum out of the ordinary.
A beautiful mahogany color.
He has a nose I've never smelled before. Closing your eyes, you feel as if you're in the middle of plantation fields or on a forest walk. There are powerful herbaceous, floral and lightly woody notes. Then comes the sugar cane.
On the palate, this is a complex but balanced rum. What's more, there's a fine consistency between the nose and the palate. Woody and floral notes are present. However, its spiciness appears on the palate and integrates perfectly. This rum is beautifully rounded.
This 2002 vintage is very interesting. It will appeal to lovers of complex agricultural rums. Excellent value for money. A must-taste rum.
Personally, I prefer sweet or even syrupy rums, so I was seduced by this rum, which evokes nature and shows that rhum agricole can produce exceptional rums.
