Brewdog Distilling Five Hundred Cut Pineapple & Mango is a spiced rum produced in Scotland by Brewdog. This famous Scottish brewer, located in Ellon in the Aberdeenshire region, diversified its business by opening its own distillery in 2016.
This spirit is made from molasses imported from the Caribbean. The molasses is fermented for 7 days, before being double-distilled in in-house copper pot stills. One part of the resulting rum macerates with spices and tonka beans, while the other passes through the still with green cardamom, cloves, Sichuan pepper and orange zest.
Once these two rums have been blended, a pineapple and mango maceration is added, along with a little muscovado sugar to round it out (8 gr/l).
