Yoann's tasting notes
At first glance, the nose of this rum seems slightly closed, raw. It opens little by little and becomes less and less full-bodied to reveal a basket of fruit. They are not fully ripe but we recognize a pink grapefruit accompanied by cayenne pepper. Unripe bananas and kiwis are present, accompanied by apples and pears. The mango is sprinkled with black pepper.
Over time we detect some notes of vanilla and cinnamon.
The palate is certainly intense and fruity. Mango, melon and passion fruit jostle for our greatest pleasure. The fruits are slightly juicy, almost ripe. A blond tobacco makes a presence but remains discreet. A grapefruit zest adds bitterness. Our taste buds are then covered with honey and almonds.
The finish is sprinkled with cocoa nuggets and some more fruity and acidic notes.
