Ideal as an aperitif or digestif, Chamarel mandarin liqueur is produced with the estate's own white rum, distilled from pure cane juice. The cellar master creates a harmonious blend of selected natural aromas. Thanks to a slow maceration of mandarin peel, this liqueur is richly flavored and has a long finish.
Chamarel Liqueur Mandarine is best drunk chilled or on the rocks.
Nico's tasting notes
In brief: fine - mandarin - spices - citrus zest - intense
The nose is pleasant and complex. It's tangerine and not clementine, the tangerine having a more heady, bitter aroma, and also a much more elegant hold. The nose is interesting and chiselled, rather fresh, with spices, bitter zest and cane.
The attack on the palate is striking, warm and spicy. Tangerine mingles with spices like clove. The rum resembles a concentrated resin with citrus zest, opening to other sunny fruits.
"An elegant liqueur, with staying power and finesse..."
