The vanilla liqueur from the Mauritian distillery Chamarel is the harmonious encounter between a rum produced from pure cane juice and the flavours of the fruit of the famous orchid.
Infused slowly for eight months, the liqueur is embellished with a clove during packaging.
Nico's tasting note
The nose of this liqueur is a very sweet cane sugar candy. The vanilla does not immediately take over, but is overtaken by cinnamon and pepper. Like a pan of flamed bananas, it has a nice brown sugar caramel. The woody character that emerges seems to come from the vanilla bean.
After a little airing, a touch of agricultural rum with a focus on the cane brings out a livelier vanilla that is now very present. A little spice keeps the nose volatile.
The sweetness of vanilla dominates the palate, then fresh, tangy spices such as nutmeg, pepper and cinnamon combine with the sugar to remind one of a Dr Pepper soda.
The caramelised finish leaves the lips sweet.

Very good rum, however the vanilla taste is not present enough in my opinion, too bad.
