Chamarel XO Sauternes Cask Finish 8 year old rum is distilled in column and pot stills from the pure juice of the estate's sugar cane.
Initially aged in French oak barrels for a minimum of 6 years, the rum was then transferred to ex-Sauternes barrels for a further 18 months.
Sauternes is an AOC sweet white wine from the Sauternes region of the Bordeaux vineyards. Finishing in Sauternes barrels brings roundness and sweetness to pure cane juice rum.
