Cristóbal Santa Maria 2024 is a molasses rum originating from the Dominican Republic .
Distilled in 2010 in column stills , this rum benefited from 14 years of tropical aging, beginning in American white oak barrels, then enhanced by a finishing period in ex-Port Ruby casks to impart additional aromas to the blend. It was finally bottled in 2024 (2225 bottles in total).
The name of this vintage pays homage to the Santa María de la Inmaculada Concepción , better known as the Santa María, the largest of the three ships used by Christopher Columbus during his first transatlantic voyage in 1492.
