Produced by the Dominican Republic distillery Oliver & Oliver, Cubaney Gran Reserva is a very old rum aged an average of 12 years in the solera system, between 1995 and 2007.
Tasting notes
Cubaney 12 ans has an attractive golden color and a nose that is at first discreet. As it opens up, the rum's woody character emerges, adding notes of dried fruit and butterscotch.
The palate is very full-bodied. It is also straightforward. Then, aromas of caramel, toffee and flambéed banana melt into a beautiful harmony. A touch of spice completes the rich aromatic palette.
The finish is long. It brings fruity and spicy notes.

This rum is very well described, I couldn't add much more, except to say subjectively that it is one of the few rums to offer everything I'm looking for and which gives me the sensation of drinking an excellently crafted and aged eau de vie.
