As its name suggests, Dictador 100 Months Orange has been aged for over 8 years in oak casks (using the solera method), and enriched with a maceration of 100% Colombian orange peel.
The result is a rich, fine rum with pronounced orange notes.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose is very light and citrusy. Like a fine lemon syrup or orange liqueur, the rum delivers a certain bitter freshness. Other light, flowery fruits fly out of the glass, with a hint of acidity. Time brings roundness and thickness, and the sweet orange stands out clearly.
On the palate, the attack is very round and syrupy. The orange sends out its bitterness and freshness in turn, and then we're greeted by a rum coated with strongly toasted wood. Lightness is the order of the day, despite the tingling peppers on the tongue.
The finish is discreet, with a slight bitterness of orange peel.
"This rum is designed to give a subtle orange flavour to your cocktails..."
