Dictador 1978 2 Masters Château D'Arche Release 2019 is a molasses rum from Colombia. In its 2 Masters series, Dictador pools the expertise of cellar masters from around the world, united for the occasion of a cuvée.
In this case, Hernan Parra, Dictador's cellar master, chose to share a very old barrel of rum distilled in 1978. After 39 years of aging in bourbon casks, it was sent to the Bordeaux region, to be matured for 12 months in American oak barrels from the Quintessence cooperage. Jérôme Causson, cellar master at Château d'Arche, chose this barrel, which had previously housed a Sauternes premier cru.
