Nico's tasting notes
The nose of this vanilla rum is very flattering: vanilla, then, but also banana and a strawberry/bubblegum side that reminds us of a harlequin candy. But this nose is mainly dominated by orange in all its forms: juice, zest and jam.
After aeration, the candied fruits come into play, always with an orange/tangerine side. After the candy, we now think of a spiced marmalade, or even a mulled wine or even a sangria.
There is also a bit of caramelized candy candy candy.
In the mouth the orange still dominates with a little bitterness, more on the zest. This develops into a sort of exotic and tangy tutti frutti, with passion fruit at the forefront. The sensation is very thick on the palate.
It's a candied register that remains in the mouth, with again a slightly burnt sugar.
