Nico's tasting notes
On the nose, we discover a rather light rum, but nicely dressed in American oak. A balm of vanilla quickly caresses the nostrils, and the fine wood sends out a few softly spicy, sparkling notes. Aeration develops a lovely, well-balanced toasted coconut, which joins the vanilla and its tender woodiness with an air of blond tobacco.
The palate is smooth and fluid, without being sweet. After a spicy, almost spicy mid-palate warming, where the rum seems to wriggle on the taste buds, the rum spreads its toasty oak, leaving traces of greediness.
The finish is luscious, dotted with vanilla and caramel, with a fairly dry persistence of toasted oak.
