Elixir Distillers Jamaica 11 Year Old 2013 is a traditional rum made from molasses and selected by the independent bottler Elixir Distillers as part of its The Rum Trail collection.
This rum comes from a Jamaican distillery specializing in the production of rums using a pot still . This discontinuous distillation method is emblematic of the local tradition and allows for the production of rums whose identity is based in particular on the fermentation process and the specific characteristics of the distillation process.
The aging process begins in Jamaica , where the rum spends 4 years in ex-bourbon barrels . It is then transferred to Scotland to continue maturing for a further 7 years .
With this vintage selection, Elixir Distillers continues its exploration of the great rum-producing regions through The Rum Trail collection.
Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2025, this eleven-year-old rum showcases Jamaican expertise and the island's traditional production methods. It is offered in a limited edition of 600 bottles .
