Famille Ricci Hommage 2022 is a cuvée created in honor of a figure from the world of rum. The previous 2021 edition was a tribute to Guillaume Ferroni. For 2022, the Ricci Family has chosen to pay tribute to an old brother, Anthony Martins, known as one of the two "old brothers". You've certainly heard of him, and perhaps also of his bottling company Old Brothers Independant Bottlers, his Toulouse winery "La Source", and the distribution company of the same name. Finally, he founded WorldEsters.
Pour ceux qui connaissent Anthony, ce blend semble effectivement parfait pour le représenter : des rhums jamaïcains high esters ont été assemblés.
Le premier est un rhum blanc de la distillerie Hampden qui porte le mark <>H (Diamond H). Son taux d’esters se situe entre 900 et 1000 g/hlap. Il est associé à deux autres rhums de la même distillerie, un rhum millésime 2008 du marks HJF (Ancien mark qui fait partie aujourd’hui du mark HLCF), et à un millésime 2009 DOK (taux d’esters situé entre 1500-1600 g/hlap).
The wine was aged in bourbon barrels and bottled without reduction, at 63.8°. 220 bottles were produced.
