Ferroni Brut de Fût Maurice Expérimental is the latest folly from Guillaume Ferroni, distiller and spirits breeder in Provence. Three distilleries from Mauritius are featured in this blend of pure cane juice rum.
The Saint Aubin and Oxenham distilleries provided production from 2015, and Chamarel from 2013. These rums were aged in two very specific types of cask. On the one hand, we have cherry casks, and on the other, small 56-liter French oak casks that contained Ferroni Belize 2007 rum. These were then blended and bottled without reduction, brut de fût.
