Bougainville rums come from Mauritius' Oxenham distillery, the island's smallest, located in the center of the island. They are made from molasses distilled in a 400-liter hybrid still with a column passage.

The Bougainville range refers to Louis Antoine de Bougainville, the famous navigator and explorer who completed the first French round-the-world voyage as captain from 1766 to 1769. Read less
