Inspired by Provençal history and lifestyle, Pastis des Collègues is a creation of Maison Ferroni that pays homage to convivial moments shared among friends. Its story dates back to 1920, when its creator, Igor Bacci, is said to have conceived a recipe during a walk in the hills of L'Estaque, Marseille, to capture the spirit of Provence.
The recipe notably combines star anise , fennel , and licorice , complemented by a blend of herbs whose precise composition remains confidential. These ingredients are in keeping with the tradition of Provençal pastis, where aromatic plants and spices play an essential role in the recipe's creation. Through this composition, Maison Ferroni revisits a great classic of the southern aperitif while preserving the elements that define its identity.
