This expression of Straight Rye Whiskey from the FEW distillery is an exclusive selection for the Foundations collection.
The FEW distillery, founded in 2008 by Paul Hletko, is located in the suburbs of Chicago. Its name therefore takes the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard. She is an activist at the head of the Temperance movement who defended the values of Prohibition at a time when alcohol was often associated with domestic violence. The name FEW, which means “few” in English, is also a nod to the distillery’s production volume.
This rye whiskey is aged for three years in new oak barrels. It then benefits from a four-year refinement in Sauternes barrels.
