Flag Series Indonesia 8 years old is a vintage from the 2024 Foundation collection.
The Flag series brings together unique and iconic barrels bottled without reduction and without any additions.
This selection comes from one of the distilleries that also produces Naga rum. It is a molasses rum called Batavia Arrack.
Molasses comes from the volcanic island of Java. It is fermented using red rice yeast. This is followed by distillation in a pot still.
The aging took place in an old rum barrel for one year in a tropical climate. The rum then completed its maturation with an additional 7 years in a continental climate.
Cask #IND15-16/V508 produced 193 bottles.
