HBS Sélection Variétale Canne Bleue is Habitation Beau Séjour's first varietal selection. The cane used for HBS agricultural rum comes from the Habitation's own land, where it is cut by hand. Red and blue cane are the main varieties used, the latter being chosen for its exceptional sugar content.
In addition to varietal selection, this is also a plot selection. In fact, all the blue cane (B69.566) harvested comes from the "charmiette" plot.
