Trois Rivières Cask Strength fût L23 is first and foremost a vintage cuvée that expresses the full potential of its harvest year: 2006.
This exceptional rum also derives its unique character from new, homogeneous Missouri oak casks- a rarity in rum ageing. Finally, it is packaged brut de fût, with no change in titration after aging.
The result is an extraordinary rum, powerful, smooth and incomparably rich in aroma.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is amber.
On the nose, we have a very fine rum, combining power and delicacy. You have to approach it with caution, but it will reward you with aromas of cane, vanilla, sweet spices (cinnamon), brown sugar, apple and pepper. It's a blend that makes you want to dip your lips in it.
On the palate, the alcohol is noticeable but measured, drying out the mouth a little. Cinnamon, pepper and wood - which makes an appearance - mark the palate.
The finish is long and woody. Sweet spices accompany it, but the whole remains lively and relatively fresh.
