Hee Joy VSOP Dominican Republic is a traditional Spanish molasses rum from the renowned Oliver & Oliver distillery. After a short fermentation, it is distilled in columns to obtain a light rum which is then aged. The barrels used are American white oak, having previously contained bourbon.
This rum was matured twice. The first lasted 5 years, followed by a second period of 1 year in cognac casks.
